A Festive Holiday Single Takes Aim at Former Co-Star and Celebrates Bravo Moments

Scheana Shay and Lala Kent have teamed up to release a holiday single that not only pays homage to iconic moments from Bravo shows but also takes a direct hit at their former “Vanderpump Rules” co-star Rachel “Raquel” Leviss. The song, titled “Christmas Slay,” delivers pointed lyrics that leave no room for misinterpretation.

In one verse, Shay raps, “It’s Christmastime, and I’m tryin’ to push off the naughty list. You catch my drift? I wanna be an angel, not a Rachel, bitch.” This line takes a clear jab at Leviss, emphasizing Shay’s desire to distance herself from her former co-star.

The rift between Shay and Leviss escalated when news broke of Leviss’s affair with “Vanderpump Rules” OG Tom Sandoval. This earth-shattering revelation led Shay to end her friendship with Leviss swiftly. Also, it appears that Leviss’s actions may have appeared on “Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen” the same night Shay’s best friend and castmate Ariana Madix discovered Sandoval’s infidelity, leading to an emotionally charged encounter between Shay and Leviss.

Leviss went on to file a temporary order of protection against Shay, accusing her of physical violence. Shay vehemently denied these claims and asserted that Leviss had misrepresented the situation. Eventually, a judge dismissed the order, bringing some resolution to the contentious situation.

With the drama behind them, both Shay and Leviss are moving forward with their respective endeavors. Leviss is set to debut her iHeartPodcasts venture, “Rachel Goes Rogue,” in January, coinciding with the premiere of the next season of “Vanderpump Rules.” On the other hand, Shay reflected on the fallout with Leviss on her podcast “Scheananigans,” questioning Leviss’s motive for seeking a restraining order when there had been no attempt to contact her.

While “Christmas Slay” takes a clear aim at Leviss, it also celebrates the broader Bravo universe by referencing memorable moments from various franchises. Shay and Kent cleverly pay tribute to the “Real Housewives” with playful nods to the notable women who have left their mark on these shows.

They mention the “Tres Amigas,” Vicki Gunvalson, Shannon Beador, and Tamra Judge, from “Real Housewives of Orange County” while also giving a shout-out to Lisa Rinna from “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” and her infamous pout. Additionally, they briefly recap Erika Jayne’s legal win in her diamond earrings case, highlighting the challenges she faced throughout the year.

As the holiday season arrives, Shay and Kent’s holiday track offers a mix of festive cheer and playful rivalry. With clever lyrics and nods to Bravo moments, “Christmas Slay” captures the essence of this unique collaboration. Whether it’s highlighting personal grievances or celebrating memorable Bravo moments, this holiday single brings together the best of both worlds in a catchy and entertaining manner.
